Monocle on M127 Schoups

Monocle explores Universal’s transformation of a 1960s police station in Antwerp into M127 — a vibrant mixed-use building that brings together legal practice Schoups, community engagement, and contemporary design.

In collaboration with Ono Architectuur, Universal Design Studio’s design preserves the building’s original concrete structure while introducing double-height spaces, energy upgrades, and a layered mix of public and private functions. From a street-facing café by Caffènation to a library and co-working areas supporting the next generation of lawyers, M127 reflects a civic-minded approach to workplace design. Read here.
