Meet the makers: Lewis Kemmenoe

In collaboration with furniture designer Lewis Kemmenoe, a series of striking, five-metre-long kitchen tables were created for 16 Blossom Street, drawing inspiration from the building’s Arts & Crafts heritage. Crafted from solid British elm, each tabletop features a hand-cut patchwork of walnut, mahogany, maple, ash and cherry veneers, following the natural grain and character of the timber. Resting on bold oak burl legs, the table balances intricate craftsmanship with sculptural presence, embodying both the history of Spitalfields and a contemporary design sensibility.
